Türkiye's HAVELSAN boosts Azerbaijan's air power with advanced command system VIDEO

Turkish defence company HAVELSAN has successfully delivered selected critical capabilities developed under its Air Force Information Command and Control System (AICCS) to the Azerbaijani Air Force, marking a significant step in defence cooperation between Türkiye and Azerbaijan.

Designed to support the planning, execution, monitoring and assessment of air operations through an integrated digital environment, AICCS provides an advanced command-and-control infrastructure aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of air operations management, Caliber.Az reports, citing Asian Military Review.

The delivered capabilities enable personnel at operational headquarters to work from a common operational picture, manage mission and operational data in real time, centrally monitor mission-critical information, and accelerate decision-making processes. By integrating command-and-control functions within a single digital architecture, the system significantly improves the speed, accuracy and efficiency of planning, coordination and operational execution.

According to HAVELSAN, AICCS consolidates the core functions of air operations management within a unified digital architecture, significantly reducing operational preparation time and enabling air forces to respond more rapidly while improving agility throughout mission planning and execution.

The delivered capabilities also combine key functions supporting air operations management within an integrated digital framework. Thanks to its open and modular architecture, AICCS is designed to integrate seamlessly with existing command-and-control infrastructures while offering the flexibility to expand in line with evolving operational requirements.

HAVELSAN described the delivery as "an important milestone in the defence industrial cooperation between Türkiye and Azerbaijan in the fields of defence software and command and control technologies."

The company added that the project also "demonstrates HAVELSAN’s engineering expertise in developing mission critical operational management software through indigenous engineering expertise."

Emphasising the broader significance of the delivery, HAVELSAN noted that "the delivery of these capabilities represents more than a software export. It demonstrates that HAVELSAN’s command and control systems, mission management software and defence informatics solutions are being adopted by international users, highlighting the engineering expertise Türkiye has developed in these strategic fields."
