Türkiye's VP visits Victory Park, Alley of Honour in Baku PHOTO

Türkiye's Vice-President, Cevdet Yılmaz, has visited Victory Park in Baku during an official visit to Azerbaijan.

Yılmaz, leading a delegation, was greeted with an honour guard at the park, which commemorates Azerbaijan's victory in the 2020 Karabakh war, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

The delegation laid a wreath at the Victory Monument and paid respects to those killed in the conflict, referred to in Azerbaijan as martyrs.

Yılmaz and his entourage then visited the Alley of Honour, where they laid flowers at the grave of Heydar Aliyev, Azerbaijan's former president and national leader.

They also placed flowers at the tomb of Zarifa Aliyeva, the prominent ophthalmologist and wife of Heydar Aliyev.

The visit underscores the strong bilateral ties between Türkiye and Azerbaijan, with Yılmaz also co-chairing a joint intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation.
