Türkiye seizes nearly 1,900 illegal weapons in countrywide operation PHOTO
A nationwide operation targeting individuals in possession of unregistered firearms has been carried out across all 81 provinces of Türkiye, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on his social media account.
According to Yerlikaya, over the past week security forces confiscated 1,867 weapons during operations against those carrying unregistered arms, Caliber.Az reports.

The seizures included 766 unregistered firearms, 428 blank pistols, 649 hunting rifles, and 24 long-barrel weapons.
Legal action was taken against 2,082 suspects in connection with the operations, the minister added.
