Turkmenistan’s president awards Azerbaijani ambassador Photo
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Turkmenistan Gismat Gozalov has been honoured by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for his contributions to strengthening ties between the two nations.
In recognition of his efforts, Gozalov was awarded two prestigious honours: the Jubilee Medal “30 Years of Neutrality of Turkmenistan” and the Commemorative Silver Badge “30 Years of Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan,” Caliber.Az reports via local media.

The awards were formally presented during a conference titled “The Year of International Peace and Trust: Resolute Steps of Neutral Turkmenistan,” held in Ashgabat on December 25. Rashid Meredov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, presented the medals to Ambassador Gozalov at the event.
The recognition comes as Turkmenistan marks the 30th anniversary of its policy of permanent neutrality, a key principle of its foreign relations.
