TURKSOY calls on Turkic cultural figures to help earthquake victims
The International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) has expressed solidarity with the brotherly country in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake in the southern and southeastern regions of Türkiye.
The remarks came from the Kazakh representative to TURKSOY, Bakitcan Omar, Report informs.
He noted that TURKSOY organised a blood drive for earthquake victims on February 7 and 12 TURKSOY volunteers arrived in Gaziantep on February 8 to assist with translation and coordination.
"Here we will carry out activities in areas recommended by the Gaziantep branch of the Agency for Emergency Management (AFAD)."
Omar noted that TURKSOY is holding talks with representatives of the culture and art of the Turkic world to provide material assistance to the victims of the earthquake.
"Most of the creative persons of the Turkic world have expressed their willingness to join the project,” he said.
