UK envoy Duncan Norman arrives in Baku, praises Azerbaijan’s hospitality
The newly appointed British ambassador to Azerbaijan, Duncan Norman, has said he has already felt Azerbaijan’s culture and hospitality upon arriving in Baku.
In a post on social media platform X, Norman noted that he had previously visited Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports.
“I have been to Azerbaijan before, but it is especially important for me to arrive in this country as the British ambassador. I have already felt the culture and hospitality of Azerbaijan,” he stressed.

He added that relations between the two countries have developed over more than 30 years based on friendship, mutual respect and close cooperation.
“At a time when bilateral ties are reaching the level of strategic partnership, I consider starting this role a great honour. I’m looking forward to meeting you and working together,” the ambassador emphasised.
