UK welcomes Azerbaijan’s release of 17 Armenian POWs

The United Kingdom government welcomes the release of 17 Armenian war prisoners by Azerbaijan.

“This is an important humanitarian gesture,” the British Embassy in Azerbaijan tweeted on October 5.

On October 4, Azerbaijan intended to return 17 Armenian war prisoners to Azerbaijan detained during the last provocation of Armenia on September 13-14.
