Ukraine appreciates Azerbaijan’s support for children, ambassador says

Ukraine highly appreciates Azerbaijan’s efforts to support children from Mariupol who have arrived in the country for rehabilitation, Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Yuriy Husyev has stated.

Speaking to journalists, he said the rehabilitation programme helps strengthen ties between the two countries and their children, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

“Today, another group of Ukrainian children from Mariupol is joining us. These children have seen war, and we highly appreciate the support of Azerbaijan’s leadership and the entire Azerbaijani people for this very important programme, which brings together our countries and our children,” he noted.

Earlier in the day, a group of 30 Ukrainian children arrived in Azerbaijan for a ten-day rehabilitation programme.
