Ukraine, Azerbaijan deepen cooperation on humanitarian demining efforts
The Ukrainian Embassy in Azerbaijan has hosted a delegation from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine for discussions focused on expanding cooperation in humanitarian demining, according to Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Yuriy Husyev.
In a statement on X, Husyev said the visit underscored ongoing collaboration with Azerbaijan’s Mine Action Agency ANAMA under a memorandum of understanding signed last year in Tokyo during the Ukraine Mine Action Conference (UMAC), Caliber.Az reports.

He noted that cooperation continues to advance through training programmes, exchange of expertise, and the planning of concrete next steps in mine action activities.
Husyev also expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for its solidarity and continued support in addressing the challenges posed by landmines and unexploded ordnance.
