Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Yuriy Husyev, has officially unveiled the new team of leaders of the Ukrainian-Azerbaijani Business Council.

The ambassador made a post on his official social media accounts in this regard, Caliber.Az reports.

In a message, Husyev emphasized the growing economic collaboration between Ukraine and Azerbaijan, highlighting the formation of a new team of leaders that will drive the council's initiatives forward.

"Ukraine and Azerbaijan are strengthening economic ties! A new team of leaders of the Ukrainian-Azerbaijani Business Council has been formed, and our plans for 2025 are ambitious," Husyev noted.

The diplomat outlined key sectors of cooperation that will guide the council's focus, including energy, agriculture, logistics, and metallurgy. With these strategic areas in mind, the newly appointed leadership is set to steer the council towards fostering further economic growth and strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations.

An agreement on the establishment of the Ukrainian-Azerbaijani Business Council was signed on June 24, 2021 in Baku, at a joint meeting of the Ukrainian-Azerbaijani Business Council, organized through the support of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) of Azerbaijan.

The Business Council was established to enhance economic and investment relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, as well as foster cooperation between entrepreneurs from both countries.

The Council was founded through the initiative of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine. It brings together over 70 business leaders and representatives from state institutions operating across various economic sectors.

The agreement to establish the Business Council was signed by Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of KOBIA, and Gennady Chizhikov, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine.
