Ukraine eyes stronger European backing in talks with Austria, Iceland
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha held meetings with his European counterparts in Antalya, where he discussed continued support for Ukraine, EU sanctions policy, and developments in the Middle East.
As Caliber.Az reports, Sybiha reported the meetings on his social media platform X.
During talks with Austrian Foreign Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger, Sybiha commended Vienna for its support for Ukraine, including its participation in efforts to establish a special tribunal.

We both agreed that the 20th EU sanctions package, €90 billion loan, and Ukraine’s EU accession must be unblocked as soon as possible.
We also spoke about the situation in the Middle East and the need for sooner stabilisation.
I informed my Austrian colleague about the battlefield situation, the prospects of peace efforts, and our remarkable defense industry achievements,” the Ukrainian FM said.

In a separate meeting with Icelandic Foreign Minister Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir, both sides reaffirmed their strategic partnership and discussed humanitarian initiatives, including projects under the auspices of First Lady Olena Zelenska.

We discussed Iceland’s further engagement in important humanitarian projects, including those under the First Lady Olena Zelenska’s leadership,” the minister noted.
