Ukraine's armed forces cheif refuses to negotiate with NATO Chiefs of Staff
Commander-in-chief of Ukraine's armed forces Valeriy Zaluzhnyi has refused to participate in the NATO Military Committee’s meeting at the level of the Chiefs of Staff even through a videoconference due to the "tense operational situation" in Ukraine.
"I received a letter yesterday from Ukrainian commander Zaluzhnyi, who informed me that due to the tense operational situation on the ground, he would not be able to take part in the NATO Military Committee meeting even in a video conference format," NATO Military Committee Head Admiral Rob Bauer said, opening the meeting of the NATO Chiefs of General Staff on May 10, TASS reports.
He also added that the military representative of Ukraine in Brussels would inform NATO countries about the preparation of an offensive by the Ukrainian armed forces.
Bauer promised the continuation of NATO's comprehensive military support for Kyiv.
