Ukrainian army liberates over 1,000 settlements from Russian occupation
The Ukrainian defense forces have already liberated 1,003 settlements from the Russian invaders, as well as cleared 224 of those settlements of landmines.
Deputy Head of the Office of the Ukrainian president, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, made the relevant remarks in a press briefing on Tuesday, according to the Ukrayinska Pravda newspaper.
Tymoshenko shared data on the results of the restoration of major infrastructure in the liberated towns and settlements of Ukraine, adding that presently, there are 1,003 such settlements.
The mine clearance operations have already been carried out in 224 settlements. The national police resumed activity in almost 600 liberated towns and villages.
Local self-government bodies have been back in the offices in 70 percent of settlements, transportation by roads has been resumed by 70 percent while the railway transportation by 42 percent.
In addition, gas supply was put back on track in 650 settlements.
