UN, Azerbaijan advance dialogue on global climate initiatives

Azerbaijan’s Special Representative of the President on climate issues Mukhtar Babayev has met with the UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Climate Action Selwin Hart to address strengthening multilateral climate action.

Babayev wrote on his official X account that, amid current global challenges, the sides reviewed the implementation of COP decisions, including the transition to green energy, engagement of the private sector, adoption of clean technologies, and the enhancement of coordinated international climate efforts.
