UN official hails Azerbaijani diplomats' contribution to peacebuilding as "important" PHOTO
UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Vladanka Andreeva has said that the vital contribution of Azerbaijani diplomats in promoting dialogue and peace is very important to all.
“On Azerbaijan’s Diplomatic Service Day, I extend warm congratulations to the dedicated employees of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Your vital contributions in promoting multilateralism, dialogue, peace and cooperation are crucial for building a brighter and more prosperous future for all,” she wrote on her Twitter account, Caliber.Az reports.

In the same vein, the European Union (EU) Ambassador to Azerbaijan Peter Michalko congratulated his Azerbaijani colleagues on their professional holiday.
“Congratulations to our Azerbaijani colleagues diplomats on their professional holiday!” the envoy tweeted.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR) was appointed in 1918, but the official founding document was signed only in 1919.
After declaring its independence on October 18, 1991, Azerbaijan was recognized by the nations of the world and the UN.
By the decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated August 24, 2007, the professional holiday for employees of diplomatic service bodies of Azerbaijan was established.
