UN rep emphasizes importance for organization to support Azerbaijan's agriculture
The aim of the UN Office in Azerbaijan is to develop rural areas in the country as it is important from the point of view of transforming the activities of farmers for the better.
According to Report, the UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan, Vladanka Andreeva, reaffirmed this while speaking at the national forum on agrarian consultations.
She said that such consultations made farmers more prepared for the challenges they faced and overall improved food security.
The resident coordinator stressed that the role of women was also crucial in this area, and that it was important for the UN to ensure that they were part of inclusive development.
Andreeva further noted, that the UN is actively working with Azerbaijan in this direction and allocating the appropriate grants.
