UN to host plenary meeting organised by Azerbaijan
The United Nations (UN) will host a plenary session organised by Azerbaijan.
A delegation led by Ulvi Mehdiyev, chairman of Azerbaijan’s State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations (ASAN Service), is on a working visit to the United States, Report informs.
As part of the visit, the delegation will attend the 22nd session of the Economic and Social Council's Committee of Experts on Public Administration (ECOSOC) to be held at UN headquarters in New York.
The event will include a presentation by Mehdiyev on "Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and applying good governance principles of the UN for sustainable development".
The event will also include a plenary session on "Transforming public service delivery through human-centred design and collaborative governance", organised jointly by ASAN Service and the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs.
The plenary session, organised by Azerbaijan, will provide information on the concept of ASAN Service, created at the initiative of the Azerbaijani president, as well as the ASAN Service Index and other activities of the state agency. The discussions will be held with the participation of international experts.
