UNESCO hails Azerbaijan's contribution to cultural heritage in African countries PHOTO

The UNESCO member states’ statements have been announced at the 219th session of the UNESCO Executive Board.
Azerbaijan's statement was read out by Azerbaijan’s permanent representative to UNESCO Elman Abdullayev, Report news agency’s French bureau said.
Azerbaijan attaches great importance to gender equality, as well as priority areas “Africa” and small island developing states, the text says.
Azerbaijan's contribution to the preservation of cultural heritage in African countries, as well as successful projects implemented in Africa was noted.
During the session, special attention was paid to the fact that Azerbaijan supports interfaith dialogue programmes and the Silk Road of UNESCO, as well as projects to combat racial discrimination.
