United Kingdom launches innovative training project with Azerbaijan's ANAMA PHOTO
Since 2020, the United Kingdom has been at the forefront of supporting Azerbaijan’s demining initiatives.
The British Embassy reported that a new project has been launched in collaboration with ANAMA (Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action), Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The initiative is designed to enhance the capabilities of demining specialists, providing them with the skills and confidence necessary to continue their critical work safely and effectively. Notably, the program incorporates the use of trained animals, including rats, capable of detecting explosive scents.
“We are proud to launch this new project with ANAMA, aimed at equipping demining specialists with the skills and confidence needed to continue their vital work, using trained rats and other animals capable of detecting scents,” the statement from the embassy said.
