Up to 97 billion cubic metres of gas transported via Turkish Stream, TANAP
The amount of natural gas flowing to Türkiye and Europe through the Russian TurkStream pipeline and the Azerbaijani TANAP line has reached about 97 billion cubic metres since the inauguration of the two aforementioned lines.
According to move2turkey.com, 26.7 billion cubic metres of Russian natural gas have been transported to Türkiye and 30.5 billion cubic metres to Europe via the natural gas pipeline (Turk Stream) since its inauguration on January 8, 2020.
TurkStream consists of two lines with a total gas transport capacity of 31.5 billion cubic metres. The gas is transported to Turkey through the first line and to Europe via the second line.
The amount of Azerbaijani gas transported to Türkiye through the trans-Anatolian natural gas pipeline TANAP amounted to about 20.5 billion cubic metres, and to Europe about 19.5 billion cubic metres, since the launch of the pipeline in 3 stages in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
