Uruguayan newspaper highlights Shusha Global Media Forum
Uruguayan newspaper Diario La R has published its fourth article on the Shusha Global Media Forum, describing it as one of the most significant international events focused on journalism, communications and the role of the media in today's world.
The publication said its delegation had arrived in Baku to cover the forum and is represented by its director general, Juan Blanco, local media reports.
"The event is expected to bring together more than 150 delegates from over 50 countries, including journalists, media executives, academics, representatives of international organisations, and communications experts," the publication writes.
Diario La R also highlighted the significance of Shusha, describing the city as a symbol of the restoration of Azerbaijan's formerly occupied territories.
The publication said the forum will feature conferences, panel discussions and bilateral meetings addressing challenges facing modern journalism, including disinformation, geopolitical conflicts and rapid technological change.
It added that one of the forum's central themes is the media's role in promoting fact-based reporting, preserving historical truth, and fostering peace, cooperation and mutual understanding among nations.
