US Embassy in Azerbaijan launches priority visa access for FIFA World Cup fans
The US Embassy in Azerbaijan will introduce priority interview appointments for visa applicants who hold tickets to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, according to the embassy's announcement on Facebook.
“FIFA World Cup 2026 ticket holders who will travel to U.S. matches this year — we’re giving you prioritised access to U.S. visa appointments! If you bought a ticket directly from FIFA, you can now opt in for FIFA PASS on fifa.com!” the embassy said in a statement.
The FIFA World Cup 2026 will be the largest tournament in the organisation’s history, bringing together 48 national teams. A total of 78 matches will be held across 11 cities in the United States, with the final scheduled to take place at the New York New Jersey Stadium. The tournament will also coincide with the 250th anniversary of the United States.
