US Embassy reaffirms support for Azerbaijan's NATO participation
The U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan has reiterated its support for the country’s participation in NATO, highlighting the strong and ongoing security relationship between the two nations.
In a post on the social media platform X, the embassy emphasized that the U.S. remains committed to its longstanding partnership with Azerbaijan. The post noted that throughout 2024, the two countries engaged in practical cooperation in areas such as counterterrorism and human trafficking, Caliber.Az reports.
“As 2024 ends, the U.S. remains committed to its longstanding security relationship with Azerbaijan,” the embassy stated. “This past year, we provided hands-on counterterrorism and anti-trafficking training and were honored to have several members of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces graduate from top U.S. military institutions. We were also pleased to support planning for Azerbaijan’s future participation in multinational exercises and training, which will further enhance security and support NATO interoperability.”
