US embassy ties envoy’s Karabakh visit to expanding Azerbaijan partnership
The visit of US Embassy Chargé d’Affaires in Baku Amy Carlon to Aghdam and Fuzuli underscores the growing cooperation between the United States and Azerbaijan, according to a post on the embassy’s X social media page.
“Her visit this week to both Aghdam and Fuzuli underscores growing U.S.-Azerbaijan cooperation since President Aliyev and Vice President Vance signed the Charter on Strategic Partnership in February, and our shared commitment to advancing peace, stability, and long-term recovery in the South Caucasus region,” the statement said.
While in Fuzuli, CDA Carlon visited a resettled neighborhood, a DOST Center, and the local secondary school, highlighting the role of infrastructure, education, and social services in rebuilding local communities. Carlon visited Aghdam and Fuzuli as part of a broader trip to Karabakh and East Zangezur by representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan.
