US National Guard delegation visits Azerbaijan to strengthen military cooperation PHOTO

A delegation from the Oklahoma National Guard, led by Brigadier General Colby Wyatt, is currently on an official visit to Azerbaijan to explore avenues for enhancing bilateral military ties. 

The delegation’s first stop was the Alley of Martyrs, where they paid tribute to Azerbaijani citizens who lost their lives in the struggle for the country's independence and territorial integrity, Caliber.Az reports per the Defence Ministry. 

The delegation laid flowers at the graves of the fallen heroes and also honoured their memory by placing a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.

During the visit, the US delegation met with Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Defence and Director General, Agil Gurbanov. The two sides engaged in discussions focused on strengthening military cooperation between Azerbaijan and the US state of Oklahoma. They also reviewed progress on existing initiatives aimed at enhancing collaboration in defense and security.

Additionally, both sides took the opportunity to exchange views on other matters of mutual interest, further solidifying the relationship between the two nations.
