US, NATO discuss security cooperation with Azerbaijan
US Chargé d'Affaires Hugo Guevara has held a meeting with Head of the NATO Liaison Office Alexander Vinnikov in Tbilisi, Georgia, to talk about NATO partnership efforts and ongoing security collaboration.
“U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Hugo Guevara met with Mr. Alexander Vinnikov, Head of the NATO Liaison Office in Tbilisi, Georgia, to discuss NATO partnership activities and security cooperation. The United States commends the recent participation of Azerbaijani servicemembers in the NATO-Georgia 2025 computer-assisted tactical command-staff exercise and supports Azerbaijan’s continued engagement with NATO,” Caliber.Az reports, citing the message of the US embassy in Azerbaijan on Facebook.
Earlier, Azerbaijan's Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov met with US Chargé d’Affaires Hugo Guevara to discuss key energy matters impacting the region and Europe. The meeting centred on the vital role of the Azerbaijan-US Energy Partnership in regional energy security, particularly in oil, gas, and renewable energy. Both sides explored opportunities for enhanced cooperation in Azerbaijan’s international energy initiatives, underscoring the country’s pivotal position in the global energy landscape.
