US reiterates support for Baku-Yerevan normalisation

During an online briefing for foreign journalists, US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs James O'Brien stated that the United States supports peace and normalisation of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

The US diplomat expressed encouragement that both countries have a healthy peace agenda and emphasized that achieving peace between the sides will create opportunities for regional economic development, APA reports.

He also pointed out that the US has good political, economic, and security relations with Azerbaijan and Armenia and that peace would be beneficial for both nations.
