US, Saudi Arabia determined to continue fighting terrorism
The US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met on June 6 with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah.
Blinken expressed appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s leadership in hosting the D-ISIS Ministerial and stressed Washington's joint continued efforts to fight terrorism, reports the press service of the Department of State.
The officials affirmed their shared commitment to advance stability, security, and prosperity across the Middle East and beyond, including through a comprehensive political agreement to achieve peace, prosperity, and security in Yemen.
Secretary Blinken also emphasized that the bilateral relationship between the US and Saudi Arabia is strengthened by progress on human rights.
Blinken and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman discussed deepening economic cooperation, especially in the clean energy and technology fields.
The US Secretary also thanked the Crown Prince for Saudi Arabia’s support in evacuating hundreds of US citizens from Sudan, and for the Saudi Kingdom’s ongoing partnership in diplomatic negotiations to stop the fighting there.
