US to train Azerbaijani sappers to use mine detectors PHOTO

US Charge d'Affaires in Azerbaijan Hugo Guevara has met with instructors of Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA).

The US Chargé d'Affaires met with ANAMA instructors at the ANAMA Goygol Regional Centre and discussed upcoming training on the use of US-made detectors equipped with special radars to search for underground obstacles, as well as to defuse explosive ordnance, APA reports citing the US embassy in Azerbaijan.

“The US renders technical support for demining and defusing explosive devices. These efforts play an important role in enhancing people's security, enabling displaced people to return to their houses and live there safely,” the embassy said.
