Uzbek spokesperson expresses deep appreciation for Azerbaijani hospitality PHOTO

Akhror Burkhanov, spokesperson for Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, met with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Aykhan Hajizada.

“It was a great pleasure to meet my dear colleague Aykhan Hajizada, Spokesperson of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Deeply appreciate the warm welcome at the Ministry and the genuine Azerbaijani hospitality. “

He emphasised that Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan are demonstrating unprecedented momentum in their strategic partnership and alliance

“We are honoured to contribute to this process and remain fully committed to further enriching our cooperation in every dimension.”

Meanwhile, Burkhanov stated to local media that the agenda of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan in 2026 will be packed with activities at all levels.

He noted that cooperation between the two countries is developing at an unprecedented pace and spans all sectors: “There is no field in which we do not see tangible progress. Azerbaijan is our ally, and this represents the highest level of state-to-state relations. We are very pleased with such positive dynamics with our brotherly country,” Burkhanov emphasised.

According to the official, this year also saw high-level meetings and negotiations, with an intensification of delegation exchanges, providing a significant boost to trade and economic growth. The holding of the media forum is also particularly important, he said, as it is the result of agreements reached by the presidents of the two countries.

“Developing allied and friendly relations with brotherly Azerbaijan is one of Uzbekistan’s main priorities. These ties are based on deep historical roots, shared cultural traditions, religion, and language,” he noted.

He stressed that next year’s schedule of events will be full, with activities planned at the level of foreign ministers, various ministries, and other structures of the two states.
