Uzbekistan’s prosecutor general visits Azerbaijan, signs cooperation programme PHOTO / UPDATED

The Prosecutor General’s Offices of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have signed a programme aimed at further expanding cooperation between the two institutions.

The document was signed by Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev and Uzbekistan’s Prosecutor General Nigmatilla Yuldashev, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

The programme provides for expanding the exchange of experience between the prosecution authorities of the two countries, improving professional knowledge and skills, and developing further cooperation.

Later, Kamran Aliyev presented Nigmatilla Yuldashev with a commemorative medal of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the institution.

The award ceremony was held in recognition of Yuldashev’s contribution to strengthening cooperation between the prosecution bodies of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev held a one-on-one meeting with his Uzbek counterpart Nigmatilla Yuldashev, during which the sides discussed the current state and future prospects of cooperation between the two countries’ prosecution authorities.

The officials also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest, including expanding legal cooperation, sharing experience and further strengthening coordination on international platforms, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

A delegation led by Uzbekistan’s Prosecutor General Nigmatilla Yuldashev has arrived in Azerbaijan for an official visit at the invitation of his Azerbaijani counterpart Kamran Aliyev.

During the visit, Yuldashev is set to hold a bilateral meeting with Aliyev. The two countries’ prosecutorial authorities are also expected to sign a Cooperation Program aimed at further strengthening cooperation between the two sides, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
