Vandalized Natavan monument unveiled in Paris after restoration PHOTO
In a significant cultural and diplomatic event, the restored monument honoring the esteemed Azerbaijani poetess of the 19th century, Khurshidbanu Natavan, was unveiled in Paris.
The inauguration ceremony, held at the Cultural Center of Azerbaijan, saw the convergence of notable figures including Azerbaijani Ambassador to Paris, Leyla Abdullayeva, French politicians, businessmen, and journalists, per Report.
Addressing the event, Ambassador Leyla Abdullayeva underscored the life and literary contributions of the distinguished Azerbaijani poetess. She recounted the unfortunate incident of vandalism that befell the monument in the city of Evian-les-Bains, expressing gratitude for its successful restoration.
The ceremony was further enriched by a captivating performance of Azerbaijani classical music by opera singer Timur Abdikiyev, a Baku native residing in France.
