Visa-free travel on horizon for Azerbaijan, China

A visa-free travel agreement between Azerbaijan and China is expected to be signed in the near future.

The development was announced during the 10th session of the Azerbaijan-China Intergovernmental Trade-Economic Cooperation Commission. Officials confirmed that the agreement is likely to be formalised during the upcoming visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to China, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media. 

According to representatives from both sides, the visa-free regime is set to give a strong impetus to bilateral relations by encouraging greater interaction between the two nations. The initiative is also expected to significantly increase the number of mutual visits, fostering deeper cultural, economic, and diplomatic ties.
