West Azerbaijan Community condemns Australia's anti-Azerbaijan statement

The West Azerbaijan community rejects the Australian government's anti-Azerbaijani statement of October 17.

The relevant remarks were made in the community’s commentary, Caliber.Az reports.

“Australia, which destroyed indigenous peoples, still does not recognize their rights, once voted against the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, and participated in the occupation of Iraq under the pretext of false accusations, has no right to teach Azerbaijan. This is nothing more than hypocrisy.

Instead of making such damaging statements, Australia must take real steps towards reconciliation with Aboriginal people. Australia must end the approach to countries and problems based on religious and ethnic sympathies, put an end to the crusader mentality,” the community noted.
