Western Azerbaijan Community: Our fight for return backed by law
The head of the Western Azerbaijan Community (WAC) has said that the organisation’s campaign for the return of its members to their historic lands is fully grounded in international and national law.
Speaking at an international conference on “Cultural Heritage and the Right of Return,” WAC Chairman and Milli Majlis (Parliament) MP Aziz Alekperov told reporters that all foreign experts engaged in discussions with the Community recognise the legitimacy of its claims, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
“It is impossible not to support the just demands of the Community,” Alekperov said.
"In adopting our return framework, we emphasised that our efforts are based on established international and national legal norms, and we strictly adhere to these principles in all our activities.”
