Western Azerbaijan Community responds to another biased report by Luis Ocampo
Luis Ocampo, who has become a plaything in the hands of the Armenian diaspora, has issued yet another biased report accusing Azerbaijan of "genocide", the Western Azerbaijan Community said in a statement.
"Ocampo, with the mentality of a crusader who wept over the arrest of the Khojaly killers, describes it as 'an integral part of the Armenian genocide'. He, or rather, the person who presented this writing on his behalf, made such a 'brilliant scientific discovery' as 'Nagorno-Karabakh ethnic group'," the statement says, according to Azertag.
"The writing presents the phrase of such a racist clown as Artak Beglaryan, who insulted the Azerbaijani people by noting that 'in 2017, Ivanyan (an ugly name given by Armenians to Khojaly) was a prosperous village of Artsakh liberated from Azerbaijani occupation.' In the report regarding the anti-Azerbaijani UN Security Council meetings organised this year, the US Senate hearings, and the vicious slanderous articles against our country published in newspapers such as the New York Times, and Washington Post, Ocampo actually exposes the campaign in which he himself is involved," the community's statement reads.
The statement also says that the purpose of such actions, against the background of the agreement reached between Azerbaijan and Armenia on December 7, is to impede the peace process. Some extra-regional circles are not interested in establishing lasting peace in the South Caucasus. Such scraps of paper should not reassure Armenia in vain, as they did this summer.
