Western Azerbaijan Community slams anti-Azerbaijan claims of "Catholicos of Cilicia"

The Western Azerbaijan Community condemns absurd statements of "Catholicos of Cilicia" against Azerbaijan.

“We remind the ‘Catholicos of Cilicia’, who speaks not as a clergyman but as a politician with a Dashnak mindset, that the fairy tale of "Great Armenia from sea to sea" and the racist mythology promoted by the Armenian Church for centuries was destroyed by Azerbaijan during the Patriotic War of 2020, and there is no going back,” Report quotes the Community as saying in a statement.

“If the ‘Catholicos of Cilicia’ thinks about the interests of the Armenian people, he should encourage not enmity in the region and territorial claims to another country, but peace and reconciliation and, in particular, dialogue between the Armenian authorities and the Community for the return of Western Azerbaijanis to their homeland,” the statement reads.
