Western Azerbaijan refugees to return to historic homeland, says chairman
Refugees from Western Azerbaijan will return to their historic lands, which is their inalienable right, Aziz Alakbarli, chairman of the Western Azerbaijan Community (WAC), stated.
Speaking to the media at the "Mother’s Cry" memorial on the 34th anniversary of Khojaly, he highlighted that extensive construction and restoration work is ongoing in the liberated sovereign territories, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
“This is the historic right of our compatriots. Today, large-scale construction and restoration work are underway in the liberated sovereign territories. Khojaly is being redeveloped. Villages in Karabakh, destroyed by Armenians, are being revived, and our forcibly displaced people are returning to their native lands after 30 years of separation. In Western Azerbaijan, our homes and lands remain, and the refugees will also return to their ancestral territories. We are confident of this,” Alakbarli emphasised.
