What did Baku and Garabagh Armenians’ reps discuss in Khojaly? Azerbaijani Presidential Administration's message

25 September 2023 18:10

On September 25, Ramin Mammadov, Azerbaijani MP responsible for contacts with Garabagh Armenians, held a regular meeting with representatives of Garabagh Armenians in the town of Khojaly.

The information about the content of the negotiations was disseminated by the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration, Caliber.Az reports.

"At the meeting, held in a constructive atmosphere, satisfaction was expressed with the steps taken to resolve the issues discussed on September 21 in the city of Yevlakh, in particular, the provision of humanitarian aid as soon as possible, resumption of fuel and electricity supply," the report says.

Ramin Mammadov informed about the measures to be implemented at the next stage. It was noted that elderly lonely residents of Armenian origin in a number of settlements were provided with first medical aid and are under doctors' supervision. It was proposed to create conditions for these persons to meet with the representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross, to hand them over to their family members or to the relevant medical institutions.

In order to determine the directions of activities of the members of the working group on the solution of socio-humanitarian, economic and infrastructural issues headed by the Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev, an agreement was reached to organize a meeting and establish a joint working group with representatives engaged in communal, medical and other civil activities in the territory, including the town of Khankendi.

A proposal was made that medical services in the field hospital proposed to be built near Khankendi town or in the direction of Khojaly be organized by medical personnel of Azerbaijani and Armenian origin. It was also proposed that a field catering service be established with Azerbaijani and Armenian staff.
