White House shares photo of Aliyev, Pashinyan shaking hands

The administration of US President Donald Trump shared a social media post highlighting the first meeting of the Board of Peace, held in Washington on February 19.

Among the photographs published by the White House was an image of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan shaking hands, Caliber.Az reports. 

The White House account captioned the images with a quote by President Trump, who serves as Chairman of the Board of Peace.

“This meeting today is proof with determined leadership, nothing is impossible. When I took office, the war in Gaza was raging... the war in Gaza is over." - Board of Peace Chairman President Donald J. Trump,” the post read, adding that "There is nothing more important than PEACE."
