World leaders, governments extend congratulations to Azerbaijan
Several governments and diplomatic missions have extended congratulations to Azerbaijan on 28 May – Independence Day, underscoring growing international engagement and bilateral ties.
The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs extended its congratulations in a statement on X, Caliber.Az reports.
“May the Independence Day of Azerbaijan be celebrated. We wholeheartedly share the pride and enthusiasm of our Azerbaijani brothers and sisters.”

The Israeli Embassy in Azerbaijan also marked the occasion, highlighting relations between the two countries.
“Happy Independence Day, dear Azerbaijan! On the occasion of Azerbaijan’s Independence Day, we extend our sincere congratulations to the people and government of Azerbaijan. We highly value the existing relations of friendship and cooperation between Israel and Azerbaijan and wish Azerbaijan continued prosperity, strength and well-being,” the embassy said on X.

Moldova’s Foreign Ministry issued a message noting prospects for deepening cooperation.
“Warm congratulations to the Republic of Azerbaijan on its Independence Day! Moldova values the friendly relations and constructive dialogue between our countries and looks forward to further deepening cooperation in the political, economic, energy and humanitarian fields,” it said.

India’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Abhay Kumar, also extended greetings.
“Wishing the government and people of Azerbaijan a very happy Independence Day. Look forward to further strengthening bilateral ties,” he wrote on X.

Vietnam’s leadership sent official congratulatory messages, with Vietnam’s Prime Minister Le Minh Hung addressing Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov, and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man congratulating Milli Majlis Speaker Sahiba Gafarova.
