WUF13: Experience sharing helps Balkans, South Caucasus tackle urban challenges

The exchange of regional experience between the Balkans and the South Caucasus helps countries in both regions respond more effectively to urbanisation challenges, Branka Vušić, Serbian participant at the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), told Azertag.

According to her, sustainable development is impossible without the active involvement of local communities.

“Within the framework of the forum, special attention is paid to issues of affordable housing and social integration,” Vušić noted, stressing that modern cities must take into account the needs of all population groups, including young people, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.
