X Global Baku Forum continues with panel session on health issues

The X Global Baku Forum titled "Peace Today: Challenges and Hopes" held under the patronage of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and organised by the Nizami Ganjavi International Centre continues its work with panel sessions.

According to Report, a panel session on the theme "Building a new global health structure: expansion, provision, protection, health promotion, and action" was held within the framework of the Forum.

The session, moderated by Rosen Plevneliev, President of Bulgaria 2012-2017, was addressed by Winnie Byanyima, Executive Director of the UN Secretary General's Joint HIV Programme; Najat Mokhtar, Deputy Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency; Filip Vujanovic, President of Montenegro 2003-2018; Minister of Health of Azerbaijan Teymur Musayev, and Yoram Weiss, Director General of Hadassah Medical Organisation (Jerusalem).

The panel will also hear video messages from Tedros Adhanom Gebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Organisation; Prime Minister of Great Britain 2007-2010, UN Special Envoy for Global Education, and WHO Global Health Finance Ambassador Gordon Brown.
