Yerevan carries out active construction works at checkpoint near border with Türkiye

Armenia is carrying out active construction works at Margara checkpoint on the border with Türkiye, Armenia's State Revenue Committee (SRC) Head Rustam Badasyan said.

He made the remarks in a conversation with journalists after a government session on July 20, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

"Construction works will be completed in the near future, I can't say anything about specific terms at the moment," Badasyan said.

The SRC head also did not answer whether the border will open after the completion of construction on the Armenian side. According to him, this is not the function of the committee, its task is to ensure proper conditions of customs control for the Chamber of Commerce.
