"A peace treaty with Azerbaijan should be signed by the end of the year" Pashinyan warned pro-government deputies
A three-day training session of the ruling Civil Contract party was held in the Armenian city of Dilijan, which was also attended by experts of the American organisation NDI (National Democratic Institute).
On the last day of the training, on September 4, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan also took part in the session, Caliber.Az reports citing Armenian Hraparak newspaper.
According to the Hraparak newspaper, the prime minister held a closed meeting with the deputies of the faction, at which he informed them about the results of the Brussels meeting with Ilham Aliyev, also stating that a peace treaty with Azerbaijan should be signed by the end of the year.
In a recent interview with the Italian newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore, President Ilham Aliyev said: "I think this is realistic if the Armenian side expresses the same will because we introduced five basic principles, which peace agreement should be based on and Armenia accepted them."
