Defence ministry: Azerbaijani serviceman wounded as result of Armenia’s shelling

Despite the ceasefire agreement, the Armenian Armed Forces shelled the Azerbaijani army in the direction of Alagoller in the Kalbajar district on September 28 at around 18:00 (GMT+4).

As a result of the shelling, Azerbaijani serviceman Nijat Isgandarov was wounded, Caliber.Az reports with reference to the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry.

The necessary medical assistance is being rendered to the wounded servicemen.

The Azerbaijani army returned fire.

"The Armenian military and political leadership, which purposefully tries to escalate the situation, is fully responsible for the incident," the defence ministry said.
