Azerbaijan registers 43 new COVID-19 cases

Azerbaijan has confirmed 43 new COVID-19 cases over the past day, while no deaths have been reported over that period.

As Caliber.Az reports, citing the Operational Headquarters under the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers, a total of 827,823 people have been infected with the coronavirus in the country to date.

Of these, 817,504 have recovered, and 10,077 have died. There are currently 242 people being treated in the country's hospitals.

Around 2,183 COVID-19 tests were conducted over the past day in the country, bringing the total number of tests made since the outbreak of the infection to 7,479,912.

Some 350 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 in Azerbaijan since January 25.

The first dose of the vaccine was injected into 196 citizens, the second dose to 44, while the third dose and other doses to 114 citizens. Some 23 citizens were vaccinated with a booster dose.

Totally, up until now, 13,941,202 vaccine doses have been administered.
