Envoy: Ukraine sees Azerbaijan as friendly country whose ties based on mutual respect, trust
The remarks came online by Ukraine’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladislav Kanevsky.
"The first decade of February holds a special place in the history of bilateral relations between our states. On February 8, 1919, diplomatic relations between the Ukrainian People's Republic and the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic [ADR] were established. On February 6, 1992, Ukraine and Azerbaijan renewed their diplomatic relations and opened a new page of development and strengthening of strategic partnership,” the diplomat recalled, according to Report.
“Ukraine has always regarded and continues to regard Azerbaijan as a state with which we have close friendly relations based on mutual respect and trust. This takes on special weight and significance in the current historical conditions, when our peoples have once again had to defend the sovereignty and restore the territorial integrity of their own state within internationally recognized borders," the ambassador said.
"The shared pain has made us stronger and more confident. We will definitely win! Glory to Ukraine! Glory to Azerbaijan!", Kanevsky added.
