Azerbaijani, Russian PMs discuss development of bilateral relations PHOTO
On June 8, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov met Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin as part of a working visit to Sochi.
The sides noted with satisfaction that through the efforts of the presidents of Azerbaijan and Russia, the relations between the two countries have reached the level of strategic partnership, Report informs citing the Cabinet of Ministers.
The steady growth of mutual trade and investment was regarded as vivid evidence of the dynamic development of bilateral relations.
The sides weighted the next session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation to be held in Moscow at the end of this month.
Good results of interaction were registered in agriculture.
The transport and logistics sector was identified as an important vector of cooperation. In this respect, mutual willingness to continue joint efforts to ensure the full functioning of the North-South international transit corridor was voiced.
The sides noted the considerable experience of successful industrial cooperation and positively assessed the interaction in the field of joint production.
The Heads of Government also reviewed the current issues of Azerbaijani-Russian trade and economic cooperation and the implementation of joint projects in various fields.
