Delegations of CIS member states arrive in Azerbaijan
Delegations of the Executive Committee and the Coordination Council of Prosecutors General of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member states arrived in Azerbaijan’s capital city Baku to participate in the 33rd meeting of the Coordination Council of CIS Prosecutors General.
The visit was made at the invitation of Azerbaijani Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev, the Prosecutor General's Office told Report.
During the meeting, Aliyev and heads of the delegation Igor Malashevich and Vladimir Zimin discussed further prospects for cooperation.
The meeting also touched upon the improvement of the work of the organisation, the development of mutual relations on the legal level between member states of the organisation, the fight against crime, as well as joint activities on mutual international legal assistance.
Aliyev emphasised that the continuation of relations within the framework of the organisation has a positive effect on increasing mutual trust.
In turn, Igor Malashevich and Vladimir Zimin said that the organisation they represent attaches great importance to the development of relations with Azerbaijan, and Azerbaijan always contributes to the work of the organisation by actively participating in its activities.
